Reverse carved Lucite bangle bracelets
Carving has been hand painted and hand set with rhinestones.
These are so luxurious and bigger than life in person.

This is the Story Jean-Marie shares on his website about his beautiful hand made bracelets,
I purchased these bracelets myself from him in Paris in 2004.
JMP has passed but his legacy lives on through his beautiful Art Jewelry
I have held on to them because they are so very beautiful, but I have so many beautiful items, I can't keep it all.
These bracelets are hand carved and painted. Incredible attention to detail.

"The story of Jean-Marie Poinot is first and foremost a story of encounters, unexpected encounters which become a passion before changing a life.

It is an encounter with art and creation.
The beginning of a journey which starts in a workshop with an uncle who introduces him to decorative letter painting.

Then, it is an encounter with costume jewellery in the alleys of the Saint-Ouen flea market.
An old stock unearthed by his wife and that he adopts (or that adopts him).

Finally, it is a key encounter with plastic.
A material with a wealth of possibilities through which he lets his imagination burst.

From there, a desire to create his own jewellery was born.
In 1975, Jean-Marie Poinot set up his business and it was in his kitchen that he polished, engraved and shaded to produce his first creations.

He first became infatuated with the Galalith, one of the very first plastics that was easy to mould and known for absorbing colour well.
Then came the Decorite, Bakelite and Polyester before finally falling for the charm of Cristal Acrylic (better known as Plexiglas).
A game partner that has inspired him for 20 years thanks to its transparency, translucidity or, on the contrary, its opacity.
20 years he has been twisting it, sculpting it, engraving it and torturing it to better sublimate it.
Bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings, Jean-Marie Poinot adapts his favourite material into all shapes, inlaying fabrics, laces and glitter as his inspirations and trends take him.

A renowned talent and know-how recognised by the greatest designers, who were not mistaken, because fashion houses as prestigious as Dior, Chanel or Lacroix have already called upon his services.

Now, Jean-Marie Poinot’s creative adventure continues in his Parisian store in the Marais, where he is waiting for the next encounter, with you." All product photos are of the actual item.
