This as an artisan bangle made by Chris Dombeck. I'm so happy to be able to attribute this beautiful piece to him. This HUGE bangle, originally made during the 1930's or 40's, is a semi glossy butterscotch. The Five gemstone faceted appliqued bakelite stones were later laminated to the bangle by Chris. This bangle features, bright green, pineapple, cherry red, creamed corn, and Blue Moon swirl "stones"
Standard 2.5 inch opening, 1 7/8 inch wide, and 1/4 inch thick. This bracelet can stand alone or is fabulous stacked with some "slices".
Because the pineapple and cream corn are close in color to the butterscotch, it is difficult to photograph and they do not show up as brilliant as the other colors.
I am proud to offer a line of signed hand sculpted and inset Vintage Bakelite bracelets and custom crafted pins created by various contemporary Bakelite artisans. These pieces have been created with the same time honored techniques, from Vintage Bakelite rods and tubes, manufactured before 1940.
